Aberdare Rugby Football Club

Aberdare RFC has been part of the town’s rugby tradition for well over a century, with roots stretching back to the late 1800s. Today it combines competitive rugby with a strong community role, supporting senior, youth and younger-age teams.

The Gloucester Street clubhouse gives players, supporters and visitors somewhere to meet around match days and club events, with a licensed bar and regular social activity. On the field, Aberdare competes within the Welsh Rugby Union structure and has produced or been associated with a number of players who have progressed to higher levels of the game.
